I envy my friend – he has a large house with a huge garden, and one of those beautiful gazebos right in the centre of it. In comparison, I live in a studio apartment. Living in the same old room for over 20 years can be a bit dull. I can’t change the size of my room, nor can I change where the door and the windows are placed, but I can change almost everything else to make it seem like it’s a whole new room. First I would paint my room dark purple and decorate the walls with two or three big pictures, then I would throw out my old bed and replace it with a new, smaller one. The second thing I would do is to put my work table closer to the window. After that has been done, I would buy a new carpet and a comfortable arm chair. I would buy a new computer and a new TV. Since I don’t have enough space for my books, I would probably make something new to keep them in. Finally I would buy a big shelf in which I would keep all of my video games.

I would like to share my experience growing the tuberous begonias. I start the blubs in the house under fluorescent grow lights in the latter part of March in pots filled with rich loose soil placed in west window. They soon begin to send up leaves. After danger of frost is past, I take them from the cans carefully to prevent disturbing the roots and set them about three inches deep in well drained but moist soil on the north side of the house about three feet out, where they get only a little morning sun and late evening sun.
